I love the Audubon Park area – the homes have such great character inside and out. So what do you do when the homeowners have a more modern design sense? As it is with any older home, you respect the architecture of the home while adding design elements that meet your aesthetic. For this remodel, we replaced the honey oak hardwood with a blond vinyl plank, created a fireplace wall, built a custom handrail, and most importantly - matched the archways around the kitchen. With two new chairs and a rug in the living space, they are well on their way to a more modern home.
